Consultation Breakdown
First, expect an exploration to your relationship to food followed by an introductory explanation of your Sasang constitution in relation to your Ba Zi chart and five element theory, and finish with learning about the food guidelines personalized for you and steps on how to implement them with compassion, patience, and care.
In a 75 minute session you will receive the following:
Nutritional guidelines tailored for lifelong wellness.
Personalized strategies to implement these guidelines based on your specific health conditions, habits, and lifestyle—whether you prefer a gradual approach or a more immediate change.
Learn about different insights into personality traits that may help give you more knowledge into how you perceive yourself and/or your relationships. Some people have none in their charts and some have several.
An extensive resource packet detailing the theory and specific aspects of your constitution.

What is Sasang Constitutional Medicine?
The lineage of Sasang Constitutional Medicine I practice incorporates an added layer of Chinese Astrology (Ba Zi) by using five-element natal charts to determine your constitution. Generally, there are four primary constitutions, each with their own variations that help identify the foods best suited for you.

Five Element Chart Example
Here’s a little glimpse into what your five element chart may look like. This is the source of where your constitution and all other characteristics are derived for increased accuracy. There are many factors that can influence your health such as missing elements, or having an excess or deficiency within your organ systems. The proper nutritional guidelines will help to support your specific internal landscape.
My Own Personal Experience
Growing up Filipino in America, daughter of immigrants that both worked 9-5 jobs—I ate a lot of junk and a bunch of processed foods and rich Filipino dishes. Not only that, I had the biggest sugar tooth. This early childhood set the tone for the typical American diet until my 20’s where I started learning to be more food-conscious. I started figuring out major no’s for me like gluten and dairy. I explored anti-inflammatory and autoimmune diets, but it wasn’t until I received my Sasang reading that I was really able to fine-tune the foods I ate.
My teacher explained I had been eating the wrong foods my whole life, since I was a child. Many of the Western diets and protocols don’t take into account these “genetic” variations. It’s one protocol for everyone. So, once I was able to properly integrate this system into my daily life, things really started to change in regards to my gut health and autoimmune flares.
